I will dominate 'serious fighter' Jake Paul - Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

Anthony Joshua prepares to battle the American YouTuber in an eight-round fight which will be shown in real-time on Netflix.

British boxer Joshua said he will "stamp all over" the American and "break" his opponent as the pair confronted each other to publicize next month's boxing match.

Former two-time unified title holder Anthony Joshua battles YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul - in what is, theoretically, a mammoth disparity - at Miami Kaseya Center on December 19th.

Fighter's Mentality

"I plan to break his face and damage his physique. My goal is to show I'm superior," the British boxer, 35 years old, said.

"I will dominate him completely. That's how fighters think.

"I intend to genuinely try to injure him. That's my intention."

Respectful Interaction

In spite of these statements, a relaxed Anthony Joshua and internet personality Paul - usually known for his showmanship - shared friendly words and maintained decorum with each other.

Jake Paul rather attacked former Joshua's rival Francis Ngannou and called him "ridiculous" after the Cameroonian declined a match opportunity.

Targeting Tyson Fury

Anthony Joshua, in the meantime, targeted UK opponent Tyson Fury - and refused a large bet 'The Gypsy King' claims he will make on a Paul victory.

"Jake Paul is better than Fury - he's actually sitting here," Joshua said.

"I respect him for that."

Serious Opponent

In spite of declaring he will punish Paul, Anthony Joshua refused to speak negatively about his rival's boxing ability.

"Jake is a serious fighter," he said.

Jake Paul's Background

Paul - who initially became famous on the television network - has primarily fought mixed martial artists or declining opponents since turning professional.

He was defeated by Briton Tommy Fury in last year.

Financial Attraction

Still, the inexperienced fighter remains one of the sport's biggest financial successes, frequently receiving substantial paydays.

Prediction and Belief

The 28-year-old forecast a knockout win in round four or five and asserted he would prevent the highly-expected match between Joshua and Fury, which is apparently in the works for two years from now.

"The next fight will be myself against Tyson Fury next year," Paul declared.

Physical Difference

As the two fighters participated in the customary face-off, with their size difference evident, it drove home just how unlikely this complete situation is - and how amazing it is that the fight is truly going ahead.
