The winter recruitment period is typically a period of significant rumour and potential major moves. Numerous high-profile footballers are being connected to moves out of their current clubs. We examine a selection of the major names that could be changing clubs this month.

A. Semenyo

B. Johnson

The Welsh forward has had first-team minutes limited at Spurs this term. It is understood the North London club would be open to a transfer for the right valuation, believed to be in the region of £40 million. The Cherries appear to be at the front of the queue, with Crystal Palace, Aston Villa, and Brentford additionally credited with an inquiry.

R. Neves

The Portugal playmaker could be poised for a comeback to the Premier League after a period in Saudi Arabia. Now just 28, and with his contract ending in the summer, he is a possible opportunity. Furthermore, there are suggestions from Spanish media that he is willing to take a reduced salary for a move to the Spanish giants.

This veteran German shot-stopper finds himself as the third option at Barça following the manager Hansi Flick. After fallen out of favour and had an operation, a winter departure seems highly probable. Villa were initially mentioned as a potential destination, but that move now appears unlikely.
